Empowered Indigenous Women, Strong Nations and Communities: Launch of PLUME – National Indigenous Women’s Rights Alliance and Institute is a convening to formally introduce a new national organization dedicated to advancing the rights, leadership, and collective power of Indigenous women in the United States.
Through this event, we are launching PLUME – National Indigenous Women’s Rights Alliance and Institute, created to address a critical gap in infrastructure supporting Indigenous women’s leadership, advocacy, and policy influence. At a time marked by increasing pressures on Indigenous lands, ongoing violence against Indigenous women, climate impacts, and the continued invisibility and rights violations of Indigenous migrant women, this convening will create space to both discuss and celebrate the leadership of Indigenous women across the United States and to articulate why a coordinated national alliance is urgently needed.
